When Osama Bin Laden was killed, some commentaries ranked him alongside Hitler and Stalin as the epitome of evil. Bosnian Serb general Ratko Mladic has been accused of being in charge of unbelievably evil things. Killers or child abusers are often labelled evil by judges and the media. But what do people really mean when they call someone evil? Is anybody inherently evil, rather than just committing evil deeds? And what does the existence of evil say about God?
