Artist and Empire - Tate Britain, 25 november - 10 april

Klicka på fotot så förstoras det.  It will have 200 works from 55 lenders in a show that has been planned and researched for four years. The exhibition will include work by British artists as well as artists from North America, the Caribbean, the Pacific, Asia and Africa. It would also show how British mapmakers obliterated the identity of indigenous peoples and how Aboriginal art was disregarded by British artists and collectors who “did not have the cognitive or aesthetic framework to appreciate it”.
